Taun, of the Independent Company, made a splendid score iu target practice last week. With a target only 22 inches in diameter, aud with a "bull's eye-' of 4 inches, he made an average of 23-2 1th of an inch in three shots olf hand, distance '200 yards. On last Monday he did nearly as well- making an average of one inch in three shots t. c, one inch from the "bull's eye.". We learn, also, that Dr. J. W. McNeill, of the LaFayette Company, made an average of 11 in ches in 11 shots practicing with 'the same sized target aud under the same rules.
